6 new IG features 🐾 businesses need to know about

Furiends, it's time to get acquainted with all the new features on Instagram! Instagram is coming out with all sorts of new features for 2022, but don't worry! Max Pet Marketing is here for you. We know how important it is that your business is seen and reaches as many pet owners as possible, so we took care of putting together the latest trends for Instagram marketing. Before we DIG in (Get it? Dig? Because dogs dig? LOL I'll see myself out...) Some of you are wondering… Why Instagram? Is IG the right platform for your pet business? (Psst...If you already know IG is right for you, feel free to skip the next paragraph) IG is one of the most well-known social media platforms, with more than one BILLION monthly active users, of which 80% are between 18 and 29 years old (#1 demographic of new pet parents). Instagram is purrfect for pet businesses that want to reach this demographic of smartphone-toting millennials and it has the highest potential for organic reach. If that's you, check out these new features you need to know: 1. They're bringing back the good old days of Chronological order! App users can choose to once again see posts in their feed by the time / date they were posted and can relive those memories from 2016 when IG was set up this way. 2. IG users can select top favorites as well, which reminds me about Myspace-it had some pretty amazing features for its day too (I know!) - this means it's more important than ever to curate consistent content your audience wants in their feed. 3. App users will also be able to select who they want in your feed first! And that's kind of why people use social media. It looks like they're going for a "top posts" type layout, so be sure to give your audience content they want to see! 4. This one has been out for a while, but it's worth mentioning. Remember the days where you had to have 10,000 followers just to post a link in your story? Well let me tell you this – those days are over! Now, we can post links in our stories just by adding a sticker. Customize it with whatever text or graphic image that suits your story best! Bonus tip! Add a gif over the link to help with your brand aesthetic! Just be sure your audience knows where to tap for the link. 5. Your carousel posts can now be edited, reordered and even deleted! Did you notice a typo? That's what I get for typing too fast. Well never mind that – now you can just go ahead and edit or delete one image from the post instead of having to completely start over with new content:) 6. This one is so cool! IG stories have a new sticker called "Add Yours" This allows you to share your story with the world, but also give viewers opportunity to reply with a picture in their stories! It's great for building engagement and getting people talking about what's going on in real time.  Phew! That was a lot!
